Smokefree England

On July 1st 2007, England introduced a new law to make virtually all enclosed public places and workplaces in England smokefree. A smokefree England ensures a healthier environment, so everyone can socialise, relax, travel, shop and work free from secondhand smoke. This website provides you with information about the legislation and lets you know how you can play an important part in maintaining a smokefree England.

I don't smoke and I certainly support this kind of measures. But sometimes I think we are losing our bearings regarding people's health and comfortableness. All these laws are made to improve our everyday lives, that's for sure. But I can't help thinking they, somehow, involve some lack of freedom.
